Helium Presents: Rick Matthews and Friends

Rick Matthews was raised in a small farm town south of Buffalo, but has a point of view that differs from those usually bred from small town life. He uses the audience as his own personal therapy session, working out the issues that keep in up at night, all for their enjoyment. He has earned himself a reputation in the comedy community as a every man with an edge, a nice guy with a dark side, and a fat guy with a stain on his shirt. Rick Matthews also has severe hatred in writing his own bio, as can be reflected here. Locally he has taken the reigns at the longest running mic in Buffalo, renaming it the Rust Belt Comedy Showcase.

Rick has recently done feature work at area clubs, working with Doug Stanhope, JB Smoove, Judah Friedlander, Brian Posehn and Eric Griffin. . Rick has been used as a feature in Helium Comedy Club, and at The Comedy Club in Webster, NY.
